Recently, we were asked by Build Conf supremo Andy McMillan if we would like to hold an open-office day during Build week.
We jumped at the chance and are now looking forward to welcoming Build attendees into the Laboratory on Wednesday 14th November. Don't worry you won't have to sit and watch us work as we've put together an action packed afternoon and evening lineup including Ping Pong, Donkey Kong and Belfast Ruby!
From 3pm you can call in, have a chat with the Rumblers and other attendees over a few beers, then why not make use of the Rumbledon Centre Court or alternatively try and beat some of the high scores in Donkey Kong or Tetris on our NES. Who knows there may even be a prize if you can!
At 5pm we will be holding a special Belfast Ruby event in the office. We've managed to convince a few awesome Rubyists attending Build to come do some lightning talks (5-10 minutes). The lineup is still being finalised but confirmed so far we have Elliott Kember and Jason Cale. Everyone is welcome to attend Belfast Ruby (not just Build attendees) so come on round if you fancy something a bit more technical during Build week. If you want to do a Ruby lightning talk, you're most welcome.
After the talks we will be providing pizza for everyone before heading over to the University of Ulster for an Evening with Kickstarter. You can find us at 21 Ormeau Avenue, 2nd floor above The Limelight 1 (Formerly Spring & Airbrake).
