Five Years Rumblin'

This year marked Rumble’s fifth year in business. Over the last five years we have grown into a strong, close-knit team and been involved with some fantastic projects and clients.

We were eagar to celebrate the milestone, so we filled The Rumble Laboratory with balloons, cupcakes and sweets. That afternoon we partied in style with an array of games, laughter and far too much food.

Simon very kindly prepared a delicious lunch for us in the form of slow-cooked pulled pork smothered in his homemade barbecue sauce, rivalling that of Bubbacue and Meat in a Bap!

For dessert an epic rainbow cake had been baked by Simon's lovely wife Patricia. It towered in at nearly a foot in height, emblazoned with our very own knuckle-duster icing logo. Of course it only felt right for me to indulge in two huge slices and the black, sugary logo in its entirety.

Later that afternoon we were joined by the lovely guys at Brewbot, who brewed a special Indian Pale Ale just for the occasion. Each beer bottle label was uniquely designed by Steven, complete with personalised “ingredients” for every Rumbler!

We continued the festivities by making fools of ourselves as we attempted to hit a sweetie-filled piñata whilst blindfolded. In addition to this, in true web-nerd form, we invented “App Pictionary”, much like the game pictionary only all the answers were app names. As you can imagine we were all rather good at it. Hilarity ensued as we made guesses as to what apps the doodles on the whiteboard represented, designer Will’s drawing was particularly good.

We booked The Heel Bar at The Hudson for that evening, where we invited our friends and family to join us and continue celebrating Rumble’s 5th birthday. Twenty plates of The Hudson’s infamous chicken wings were ordered and not one was left uneaten! With a few more drinks together and a great deal of craic, our night ended on a high.

This was a great way to celebrate our journey so far and the new friends, colleagues and partners we’ve made along the way. Hopefully the next 5 years (and our 10th birthday party) are even better!
